Trump golfs with Kid Rock as Mueller speculation swirls in Washington
President Trump spent Saturday golfing with musician and vocal supporter Kid Rock at his Florida resort as speculation surrounding the contents of Robert Mueller’s final report to the attorney general swirled in Washington.
Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, posted a photo of the two on Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla., with Ritchie wearing American flag pants and Trump grinning in a red “USA” cap.
“Another great day on the links! Thank you to POTUS for having me and to EVERYONE at Trump International for being so wonderful. What a great man, so down to earth and so fun to be with!! KEEP AMERICA GREAT!!” Kid Rock wrote in the photo’s caption.
{mosads}Trump has remained silent on Twitter and in official statements since late Friday, when the special counsel’s long-awaited report concluding his years-long investigation was delivered to Attorney General William Barr.
The president, who has bashed the Mueller investigation as a “witch hunt” for months, has yet to offer his opinion on reports that Mueller’s team will not recommend further indictments in the investigation into whether members of the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 election.
Mueller’s probe has seen former members of the president’s inner circle targeted with criminal charges and has racked up numerous convictions for financial crimes and instances of false statements to investigators over its two years in operation, but has yet to ensnare any American in charges related to Russia’s attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential race.
