Tiger Woods is scheduled to visit the White House next week to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Trump.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Trump will award the medal to the world-renowned golfer during a Rose Garden ceremony on Monday.

{mosads}Ed Henry of Fox News first reported that Woods would visit 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Trump tweeted last month that he would award the nation’s highest civilian honor to Woods on the heels of the golfer’s recent comeback victory at the Masters Tournament.

Woods’s victory at Augusta marked his 15th major tournament championship, and his first in more than a decade. It capped a remarkable turnaround that followed numerous surgeries and personal tribulations, including a DWI arrest and a heavily publicized infidelity scandal.

He is expected to compete next at the PGA Championship, which starts on May 16 at Bethpage Black in Long Island, N.Y.

Trump has golfed with Woods on several occasions. The two played together in February, along with legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla.

“Everyone is asking how Tiger played yesterday,” Trump tweeted following the round. “The answer is Great! He was long, straight & putted fantastically well.”

Woods has done business with the Trump Organization, designing the company’s course in Dubai.
