Kerry: Too bad Palin didn’t go missing

Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) poked a little fun at Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) this week, saying he would have preferred Palin to be the governor who went missing this week, not South Carolina’s Mark Sanford (R).

The Boston Herald reports that Kerry made the following remark when addressing a group in Washington on Wednesday:

“Too bad,” Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.”

Of course, it is worth noting that when Kerry made the remark, news of Sanford actually heading to Argentina and his affair had yet to break.

It is also worth noting that, according to the Herald, the “Democratic-centric crowd laughed.”
