Meghan McCain’s husband unleashes on Seth Meyers in profanity-laced tweetstorm
Meghan McCain’s husband on Wednesday went on a profanity-laced tirade against late-night host and “Saturday Night Live” alum Seth Meyers after his wife’s tense appearance on his show.
Ben Domenech, the founder of conservative website The Federalist, went on the rant after McCain verbally sparred with the “Late Night” host, The Daily Beast reported.
In a series of since-deleted tweets, Domenech called Meyers an “untalented piece of shit who only has has job because he regularly gargled Lorne Michaels’ balls,” referring to SNL’s creator.
Domenech then described Meyers’s exchange with his wife as “idiotic anti-Semitic bullshit,” according to the deleted tweets obtained by the outlet.
“Seth is an awful person who is known within the industry for how terrible he is,” Domenech tweeted. “He is a monumental asshole who is utterly unfunny. He deserves the mockery he receives from all the people who laugh at him?”
He continued by saying Meyers is proof “that white men get ahead despite their obvious lack of talent.”
“It’s @sethmeyers, who would beg for a third of the viewers at @TheView. He’s awful, untalented, and a perfect definition of a cuck,” Domenech reportedly wrote.
The Los Angeles Times reported that “cuck” is shorthand for “cuckservative,” an alt-right term. The word is a combination of “conservative” and “cuckold” and is meant to describe men being emasculated or Republicans perceived to be “selling out.” It can also reportedly have racist implications.
Domenech ended his rant by saying that people all around Meyers “talk about what a shitty person he is. Because oh, it is sad. So terrible. But he deserves all of it.”
After his since-deleted tweets sparked backlash, Domenech took to Twitter to apologize for “rage tweeting.”
“I love my wife. I apologize for rage tweeting about how Seth Meyers treated her. I don’t like him, I think he’s a hack, but I shouldn’t have done that. I’m sorry to anyone I offended,” he wrote.

The tweets appeared to be linked to McCain’s heated appearance on Meyers’s show on Tuesday night regarding her recent comments about freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress.
Meyers mentioned death threats Omar has received, asking if McCain stood by statements she made criticizing Omar after a shooting at a California synagogue last month.
Meyers asked McCain if she thought people needed to be careful about what they said about Omar, “or do you stand by those comments of tying her to this, her rhetoric to the synagogue shooting?”
McCain said she stood by all of her comments, adding, “If that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it.”
The two continued to discuss Omar, with McCain holding a critical view of the congresswoman and her tweets.
“You do keep bringing up the two tweets that she’s apologized for and I think that’s a little unfair to her, especially because we’ve established—” Meyers said before McCain cut him off.
“Are you her publicist? Are you her press person?” McCain fired back.
Meyers insisted that he was trying to find “common ground” and understand her point of view.
“I’m perfectly happy with everything that’s coming out of your mouth and I like that we spent this time together,” he told her.
