Beto O’Rourke to appear in CNN town hall
Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas) will be featured in a CNN town hall event on May 21, according to the network.
The 2020 presidential contender, who narrowly lost to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in the Texas Senate race in 2018, will be joined onstage by moderator Dana Bash at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Bash serves as the network’s senior political correspondent.
The town hall will air at 10 p.m. ET.
{mosads}O’Rourke has failed to gain much traction in recent 2020 polls after his high-profile Senate run.
CNN has hosted more than 20 town halls since the start of the year, including with Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), among others.
The network also aired a town hall with former FBI Director James Comey last week, his second on CNN since being fired by President Trump in May 2017.
