House Democrat ‘fixed’ Trump’s infographic about Mueller’s investigation
Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) trolled President Trump on Wednesday by tweeting a doctored version of a sign displayed during the president’s impromptu White House press conference.
The original sign, which took aim at the cost and reach of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, hung on the podium as Trump disparaged the investigation to reporters in the Rose Garden.
{mosads}Himes edited the sign to point out the results of Mueller’s investigation, including 37 guilty pleas and verdicts, and net revenue of over $30 million, largely seized from former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort.
“Fixed the President’s Rose Garden sign for him,” Himes tweeted Wednesday.

While Trump’s sign read “NO OBSTRUCTION, NO COLLUSION,” Himes’s version includes a quote from Mueller’s redacted report: “[i]f we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state.”
Trump displayed the sign at his impromptu appearance after walking out of a meeting with Democratic leadership following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) comments that Trump engaged in a “cover-up.”
Trump fired back at Pelosi and vowed not to work with House Democrats on infrastructure legislation until they ended various investigations into him and the White House.
