Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump go on Irish pub crawl
Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump went on an Irish pub crawl the night before commemorating the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
President Trump’s sons visited at least three pubs Wednesday night in the village of Doonbeg, the location of Trump’s international hotel and golf resort, CNN reports.
The two paid for locals’ drinks and thanked the village for its “incredible” support “from day one.” With a population of roughly 200, the BBC reports, some residents have praised Trump for the business and job opportunities he’s brought to the area.{mosads}
Some of those at the pub reportedly wore “Make America Great Again” hats during the festivities.
When asked by a BBC reporter if the pub crawl was a good use of U.S. taxpayers’ money, Eric Trump reportedly said, “We’re just trying to have a good time.”
“Don and I want to buy everyone cocktails tonight,” he reportedly told the Belfast Telegraph.
So I got to ask @EricTrump a question as the Trumps did a pub crawl thru Doonbeg – is his trip a good use of US taxpayer money? ‘We’re just trying to have a good time’ the answer, poses for selfies, refuses to answer further & ducks into Madigans pub surrounded by fans &security

One Twitter user roasted Eric Trump’s “attempt at pulling a Guinness” at one of the pubs as “enough to trigger an international incident.”

While the Trump children paid to join the president on his state visit to the United Kingdom, it wasn’t immediately clear if this leg of the trip was privately funded.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.
