Trump wins Idaho GOP caucus

Former President Trump is projected to win the Idaho Republican caucus, according to Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ).  

Idaho awards 32 GOP delegates in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. According to DDHQ, Trump brought in all of the delegates in the Gem State.

The former president, who is the likely GOP nominee, also took the victory in Saturday’s Missouri caucuses and Michigan GOP convention. The next voting contest will occur on Sunday in Washington. D.C.

Though Trump’s win in Idaho on Saturday was expected, it increases his winning streak against rival Nikki Haley in the Republican presidential primary, where Haley has yet to win an early state nominating contest. Haley, the former governor of South Carolina, remains the last major GOP contender battling Trump for the Republican nomination.

All eyes are turning to the group of states that will be casting ballots on Super Tuesday, which include Alabama, Alaska, American Samoa (caucus), Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia. American Samoa is also holding a nominating contest next Tuesday as well.  

Trump and Haley have spent the weekend campaigning in Super Tuesday states — North Carolina and Virginia — ahead of the March 5 primaries.
