Pregnant MSNBC host fires back at Twitter user who asked why she was ‘getting so fat’
MSNBC host Kasie Hunt fired back at a viewer who questioned why the pregnant news anchor was gaining weight.
After Twitter user “Tom Smith” tweeted, “Why is [Kasie Hunt] GETTING SO FAT?” Hunt replied: “I’m 8 months pregnant?”
The initial tweet questioning Hunt’s appearance garnered over 1,600 largely-negative replies and 11 retweets, while Hunt’s response has eclipsed 20,000 “likes.”

“I’m expecting a baby in August,” Hunt revealed on March 13.
Hunt told The Hill’s “In the Know” that the timing around the baby being due in August worked out well with Congress being on recess.
“A lucky coincidence, I suppose!,” Hunt told The Hill. “Everyone tells me this is just the first step in realizing you have no control over anything once you have kids.”
