Sarah Sanders labels Democrats’ impeachment effort ‘one of the dumbest and most embarrassing political moves of all time ‘
Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday slammed the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into President Trump, calling it “one of the dumbest and most embarrassing political moves of all time.”
“Democrats launching impeachment over this has to go down as one of the dumbest and most embarrassing political moves of all time — so bad it should be reported as an in-kind contribution to President @realDonaldTrump’s 2020 re-elect,” tweeted Sanders, who has maintained a positive relationship with the president since leaving the White House.

{mosads}Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) late Tuesday announced the impeachment inquiry after reports that Trump pressed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son after withholding aid from the nation.
The White House on Wednesday released a partial transcript of a July call in which he told his Ukrainian counterpart that “Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it.”
“It sounds horrible to me,” Trump added.
Trump said he withheld aid because he wanted other countries to give more money to help Ukraine.
He has slammed the inquiry as a “witch hunt” and denied wrongdoing.
The impeachment inquiry’s announcement followed a new wave of support for impeachment proceedings from House Democrats following the Ukraine revelations.
The Republican National Committee, Trump’s reelection campaign and a joint fundraising committee raised $1 million on Tuesday after impeachment-related fundraising efforts, according to an RNC official.
