MSNBC signs Alicia Menendez as weekend anchor
MSNBC has signed former Fusion host Alicia Menendez as a weekend anchor, the latest move by the cable network to add live programming on the weekends.
“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski introduced Menendez, the daughter of Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), on Tuesday’s show.

Menendez, 36, is host of the “Latina to Latina” podcast. Her book “The Likeability Trap” is set for release next month.

“Alicia has a smart and unique voice,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement Tuesday. “I’ve watched her for years. We’re thrilled to add her to our lineup at such an exciting time.”
MSNBC will be releasing its lineup details in the coming weeks.
