Former Rep. Sean Duffy and wife Rachel Campos-Duffy welcome 9th child
Former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) and his wife Fox News contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy are celebrating the birth of their ninth child, a daughter.
Valentina StellaMaris Duffy was born Oct. 1. Campos-Duffy, who hosts her own program “Moms” on Fox Nation, confirmed the birth with an Instagram photo posted Monday.
{mosads}”She is the sweetest, most perfect thing we have ever seen,” the mother said in her post. “It’s a wonderful life!”
Sean Duffy resigned from Congress last month after learning his unborn baby would need open heart surgery.
“I made the choice to spend a little more time with Rachel and the kids and find a little different career path that gives me more time,” he said last month on ABC’S “The View.”
Campos-Duffy reported in a Facebook post that the baby is still in the newborn intensive care unit and will require surgery for two holes in her heart in three to four months.
The baby was also born with an extra chromosome, meaning she has Downs Syndrome, the parents shared.
“That extra chromosome certainly made her EXTRA cute,” Campos-Duff wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who prayed for Valentina all these months – your prayers were never felt more than in the crazy hours before her emergency birth.”
