The lobbyist on the account is Ben Turner, former legislative counsel to Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), a member of the House Financial Services Committee.
Guns
The gun violence prevention group Giffords hired Sunnyside Strategy to lobby on issues related to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System and budgets related to the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, violence reduction programs and research on gun violence. The lobbyist on the account is Robin Lloyd, a former member of Giffords’s government affairs team who left last year to join Rational 360 as a senior vice president.
Law enforcement
The Orange County (Calif.) District Attorney’s Office hired Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld to lobby on issues related to its DNA program. Ed Pagano, who served as senior counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1997 to 2004, will work on the account.
Defense
Vector Defense hired Revere Federal Strategies to lobby on issues related to the annual defense authorization and appropriations bills for fiscal 2026. The lobbyist on the account is Eric Snelgrove, a former staff member with the House Armed Services Committee.
