Watch live: Trump campaigns in Pennsylvania with focus on crime, rising prices

Former President Trump will be back in Pennsylvania on Saturday, looking to gain support from voters in a city close to President Biden’s hometown of Scranton and curb the enthusiasm that has Vice President Harris surging in the polls ahead of the Democratic National Convention next week.

He is also expected to focus on rising prices and what his campaign has deemed a “crime wave” during his stop in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

The event comes as Trump holds a razor-thin lead over Harris in the battleground state. A recent Emerson College/RealClearPennsylvania survey found the former president garnered 49 percent support among likely voters, leading Harris by only 1 percentage point. When undecided voters were added in, Trump’s lead shifted up by 2 points (51 percent to 49 percent).

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index puts the Democratic nominee in the lead by an even thinner margin: 48.2 percent to Trump’s 47.4 percent.

This rally will also mark former president’s second campaign stop in the Keystone State since he was grazed in the ear with a bullet during a failed assassination attempt at a rally in the state just over a month ago.

The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. EDT.
