Meghan McCain announces pregnancy, plans to telecommute to ‘The View’
Meghan McCain said Sunday she’s pregnant and will start appearing to host “The View” remotely from a satellite due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I’m pregnant,” McCain announced in a statement shared on Twitter. “Although this isn’t how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and are our families are excited to share the news with you all.”

McCain said her doctors advised that for safety she should be “extra vigilant” about limiting the amount of people she comes in contact with.
Starting immediately, she said she’ll begin self-isolating out of precaution to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
She’ll appear on “The View” from home via satellite, she said.
“I’m fortunate that my employer, ABC, has allowed me and my co-hosts to work remotely. I am indebted to our producers and crew,” she said.
McCain also thanked the “heroes,” including doctors, nurses, grocery and pharmacy workers, journalists, police officers, firemen and military, who are “on the front lines of this fight.”
“The View” previously decided to stop allowing studio audiences to attend the filming of the show.
Co-host Joy Behar, 77, previously announced she would be taking time off from the show since she’s in a higher risk group to coronavirus because of her age.
