Watch live: Harris campaigns in battleground Arizona

NOW PLAYING

Vice President Harris is holding a campaign event in the swing state of Arizona Friday evening, one day after she rallied voters in a suburb of Phoenix.

Harris has zeroed in on immigration reform during her time on the campaign trail, even pledging last month during another visit to the Grand Canyon State to sign a new version of Congress’s failed bipartisan border bill. She’s also attacked her GOP rival, former President Trump, for politicizing the issue.

Former President Obama, who has endorsed the Democratic nominee, will also campaign for Harris in the state later this month.

Her remarks Friday come as the campaign works to court Latino voters.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows Trump with a slight lead over the vice president in Arizona — 48.5 percent to 47.6 percent.

Harris is scheduled to speak from Scottsdale, Ariz., at 4:30 p.m. EDT.
