Watch: Walz makes final push for early voting in swing state Georgia

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, visited battleground Georgia on Tuesday afternoon as the campaign season enters its last week.

Walz was expected to make a final push for early voting before it ends in the state on Friday. As of Tuesday morning, more than 2.8 million Georgia voters have cast their ballots, according to the Georgia Secretary of State‘s office.

Former first lady Michelle Obama is also hosting a separate event on behalf of Vice President Harris’s campaign in the Peach State on Tuesday.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows former President Trump ahead of Harris by 1.4 points in the critical swing state — 48.8 percent to 47.4 percent.

The rally in Savannah, Ga., was scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. EDT.
