The Hill’s Energy & Environment Summit
On his first day in office, President Trump signed an executive order announcing a new era of “Unleashing American Energy.” Since then, the White House has declared a national energy emergency, exited the Paris agreements, and established the National Energy Dominance Council.
More recently in his address to a joint session of Congress, President Trump vowed to rapidly ramp up domestic fossil fuel and mineral production, all as he promised to “Drill, baby, drill.” Meanwhile, Canada briefly slapped electricity tariffs across Michigan, Minnesota and New York, only to suspend them shortly after, an unintended consequence of this new trade and energy climate.
How are climate and energy stakeholders adapting to these rapidly changing policies? What will this mean for the future of U.S. energy and environmental policy? Where will the country fit in international climate efforts? And how will the new way forward affect everyday Americans?
Join us for The Hill’s Energy & Environment Summit, where we’ll gather leaders in government, sustainability and global energy solutions to discuss all of the above and more.
