President Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star is being protected ahead of election night, according to a report from Variety.

The president’s star, which has been vandalized multiple times since he began his presidential campaign in 2016, was boarded up along with various buildings along Hollywood Boulevard.

As of Tuesday morning, the star was covered by plywood and surrounded by guard rails with a sign reading “No Public Access.”

Should the star get vandalized, it will be replaced — yet again.

“Any star which is vandalized or destroyed, no matter which honoree it belongs to, will be replaced by the Hollywood Historic Trust, a non-profit, non-partisan group,” Rana Ghadban, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, told Variety.

“When people are angry with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California state landmark,” Ghadban said.

Los Angeles saw mass protesting during the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, which left widespread destruction on city infrastructure. Los Angeles, like many other cities such as Washington, D.C., and Chicago, is taking proactive measures to minimize damages should violence break out in the wake of the election.
