Wallace interrupts Azar over Biden’s title: ‘He’s the president-elect’
Fox News anchor Chris Wallace interrupted Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar on Sunday after Azar referred to Joe Biden as “vice president” rather than “president-elect.”
“We welcome Vice President Biden to the club,” Azar said on “Fox News Sunday.” “Since the middle of April … the president’s guidelines have called for —”
Before Azar could finish, Wallace interjected, “He’s the president-elect, sir. He’s the president-elect.”
Azar did not respond to Wallace, pressing ahead and saying President Trump has “called masks patriotic.”

Trump has refused to concede the 2020 presidential election to Biden, and during a Saturday evening rally in Georgia continued to argue he won the state and the election despite his loss.
Trump’s efforts have put extraordinary pressure on administration officials and Republicans to toe the line, even as outside observers in the media argue it is threatening to damage democracy.
Trump has attacked Fox News and Wallace specifically in recent months, accusing the network of bias against him and declaring during a presidential debate moderated by Wallace that he was debating the moderator and Biden at the same time.
Biden has called Trump’s refusal to concede an “embarrassment” for the nation but predicted Republicans will eventually acknowledge his victory and work with him.
