Poll finds Clarence Thomas is GOP’s most popular Supreme Court Justice

Justice Clarence Thomas is the most popular Supreme Court justice among Republicans, according to a new poll released this week. 

A YouGov survey found that more respondents who identify as Republicans had a favorable opinion of Thomas than felt that way about Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh. 

Thomas was rated favorably by 59 percent of Republicans, compared to 55 percent for Barrett and 53 percent for Kavanaugh. 

Thomas is the longest-serving conservative, having been confirmed in 1991, and the only African American on the high court. 

Kavanaugh and Barrett were both nominated by former President Trump and were confirmed in 2018 and 2020, respectively.
