When Harry Styles got a tattoo of a mermaid on his left forearm, the British artist told Hollywood Life “I am a mermaid” (reportedly “with a cheeky smile”). It turned out that he meant it in a literal sense five years later when the former One Direction member did a photoshoot dressed as Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” for “Saturday Night Live” (SNL).
Now those photos have resurfaced and fans are just as mesmerized with Styles in a red wig, seashell bikini top and mermaid tail, floundering on a chair. The look isn’t even the most daring fans have seen from the 27-year-old, who has constantly impressed on red carpets and disregarded gender-norms to push boundaries in fashion magazines.

But the singer won’t be part of that world in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid,” although he told The Face that “it was discussed.”
“I want to put music out and focus on that for a while. But everyone involved in it was amazing, so I think it’s going to be great. I’ll enjoy watching it, I’m sure,” he told The Face.
