Olivia and Liam are the two most popular U.S. baby names for the second year in a row.
“It appears parents chose to stick with the familiar during an unprecedented time, with the top three names for both girls – Olivia, Emma, and Ava – and boys – Liam, Noah, and Oliver – remaining the same for the second year in a row,” the Social Security press office announced on Friday.
In 2020, the year of the coronavirus, 17 girls were named Rona. That number is down from 30 in 2017.

The press office releases the top 10 girls’ and boys’ names every year.
The top ten girl names in 2020 are Olivia, Emma, Ava, Charlotte, Sophia, Amelia, Isabella, Mia, Evelyn and Harper.
The top ten boy names in 2020 are Liam, Noah, Oliver, Elijah, William, James, Benjamin, Lucas, Henry and Alexander.
Henry has not been in the top 10 for boy names since 1910.
The Social Security office also compiled the top five boy and girl names that are rising in popularity the fastest and have been affected by pop culture.
The girl names include Avayah, Denisse, Jianna, Capri and Rosalia.
The boy names include Zyair, Jaxtyn, Jakobe, Kylo and Aziel.
