“Saturday Night Live” stars Pete Davidson and Colin Jost purchased at auction the John F. Kennedy, a decommissioned ferry boat.

The pair of Staten Island natives partnered with Manhattan real estate broker Paul Italia to purchase the boat for $280,000 with a unique vision driving them.

“The idea is to turn the space into a live entertainment event space, with comedy, music, art, et cetera,” Italia told the New York Post on Thursday.

The John F. Kennedy, built in 1965, was put up for auction by the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, having been decommissioned due to mechanical issues.

Italia said that while the trio has “grand plans” for the ferry boat, in the short-term they are looking to have it towed to a local shipyard while more long-term arrangements are being planned.

“We’re in the early stages,” said Italia, “but everybody involved had the same ambition — not to see this thing go to the scrapyard.”
