GOP takes district held by Democrats for more than 100 years
Republican Rick Crawford captured the seat of retiring Rep. Marion Berry (D-Ark.) Tuesday, a district that has been in Democratic hands for over a century.
Crawford defeated Democrat Chad Causey, a former Berry staffer and beneficiary of a late campaign visit from former President Bill Clinton.
Republican Tim Griffin also took the seat vacated by Rep. Vic Synder (D-Ark.) and Republicans held the 3rd Congressional District, left open by Rep. John Boozman’s (R-Ark.) Senate run.
