American Samoa delegate offended by bin Laden mission code name: Geronimo
Some have speculated in the press that the CIA named the mission “Geronimo” because bin Laden, like Geronimo, had a knack for escaping capture. Geronimo fought for his land against settlers as they moved into Indian territory and managed to dodge U.S. authorities for more than 20 years before being captured in 1886.
