I have covered the daily operations of the United States Senate since the start of the Obama administration in 2009. Before then, I wrote about both branches of Congress and specialized in writing enterprise stories about politics, congressional ethics, campaign finance and the budget and appropriations process. I regularly appear on radio and television to discuss the latest developments on Capitol Hill and the national political scene. I was born in New York City, spent my early adolescence in Paris, France, and lived in Connecticut from the age of nine until graduating from high school. I attended Princeton University and played for its 1995 Ivy League football championship team.
