Staff writer

I write The 12:30 Report newsletter, covering the White House, Congress, campaigns and internet trends for The Hill. I developed and launched the newsletter in 2015 to cover national politics in a conversational, relatable tone — and have been recognized as a finalist for Digiday’s Media Awards for “best newsletter.” I’ve been covering politics for more than a decade and have reported on-the-ground from the Democratic and Republican conventions, presidential debates, White House events, CPAC, Capitol Hill and the presidential campaign trail.

I’m a New Hampshire native and have covered the past four New Hampshire primaries, including the last three for The Hill. Before my time at The Hill, I worked as a media coordinator and writer for Politico, where I published the first national profile of Trump campaign manager Cory Lewandowski and reported on the innerworkings of Trump’s campaign. I studied political science, journalism and new media at Fairfield University — and got my start in journalism at New England Cable News (NECN) and WJLA-TV. I also was a political researcher writing the questions for the 2012 Senate and House debates in Massachusetts.

In addition to my writing, I appear regularly on television and radio to discuss political news, including on MSNBC, NewsNation, Fox Business, NBC News, BBC, CBS News, Fox News and Sirius XM. I am also a weekly contributor on WGIR’s “New Hampshire Today Show” where I break down Washington, D.C. politics.
