Cate Martel is a national political reporter for The Hill, covering the White House, presidential campaigns and Congress. She writes The Hill’s 12:30 Report newsletter, recognized as a finalist for “best newsletter” by Digiday. Cate also appears on MSNBC, Fox News, BBC, CBSN and Sirius XM to discuss political news of the day. She previously worked at Politico as a media coordinator and writer. Cate received her undergraduate degree from Fairfield University in political science, journalism and new media.
