Sydney Dunlap, a student at the University of South Carolina, is an editorial intern at The Hill. She previously worked as an intern for The State newspaper in Columbia, S.C., where she reported on everything from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to the health of the state’s peach crop. Sydney also served as the editor-in-chief of her college newspaper, The Daily Gamecock, for two semesters and has won local and national awards for her writing and photography.
