Dem survey: Pryor up narrowly in Arkansas

Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) has a narrow lead over Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) in a new Democratic poll.

{mosads}Pryor leads Cotton by 45 percent to 43 percent in the poll, conducted by Democratic firm Hickman Analytics.

Partisan polling in Arkansas, especially, have shown very different results. Democratic firms have consistently found Pryor with a narrow lead in the race, while GOP firms have for months found Cotton in the lead. A new nonpartisan poll from CNN released Friday morning found Cotton up by two percentage points, in line with other surveys that have found a tight race in Arkansas.

The live-caller poll of 700 likely voters was conducted from Aug. 26-Sept. 3 calling cellphones and land lines, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points.
