Hillary Clinton will raise money this week for New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D), whose home state hosts the first presidential primary, according to the Associated Press.
The event will be held sometime this week in New York City, not New Hampshire, two Democrats with knowledge of the event told the AP. The former secretary of State and first lady has not returned to New Hampshire since her presidential campaign in 2008.
Former President Bill Clinton will be in the state to campaign for Democrats on Oct. 16.
She won the primary there in 2008, reducing some of the momentum then-Sen. Barack Obama had coming out of his victory in the Iowa caucuses.
Clinton made her high-profile return to Iowa, home of the first in the nation caucuses, this month.
She is stepping up her campaigning for Democrats in the midterm elections. Shaheen faces a tough fight this year against Republican nominee Scott Brown.
Clinton had been scheduled to fundraise in Washington for New Hampshire state Sen. Lou D’Allesandro on Tuesday. She postponed that appearance because of the birth of her grandbaby last week.
