Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will endorse Hillary Clinton at a campaign rally in Iowa on Monday, the Waterloo Courier reports.
{mosads}Foxx will become the fourth member of President Obama’s cabinet to endorse Clinton for president, joining Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Labor Secretary Tom Perez, and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro.
“Hillary Clinton is my candidate for President of the United States. She is best positioned to continue the progress made by President Obama on a range of issues — from strengthening our economy to making the right investments in our infrastructure to common-sense gun safety laws to ensuring a fair criminal justice system,” Foxx said, according to the Waterloo Courier.
Clinton is beating Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the endorsements primary, attracting the support of a majority of Democrats in the House and Senate, as well as 12 governors and 18 national union groups.
Sanders, meanwhile, only has the endorsements of two members of Congress and three labor groups.
