Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is lashing out at rival Donald Trump for his “bromance” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We need to be very clear-eyed who are our allies and who are our adversaries,” she said Thursday at the undercard debate in North Charleston, S.C., hosted by Fox Business Network.
{mosads}She continued, “Saudi Arabia is our ally. Iran is our adversary. And despite Donald Trump’s bromance with Vladimir Putin, Vladimir Putin and Russia are our adversary.”
Fiorina called for the United States to take the lead in a coalition to fight the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Fiorina also called for the halt of refugees into the United States until America can “adequately vet them.”
“We need to stop letting refugees into this country,” she said.
Fiorina contrasted her foreign policy with that of Trump, the party’s front-runner, who has said he would be happy to let Russia take the lead in bombing ISIS.
Fiorina said the U.S. cannot “outsource” its leadership to Russia and Iran.
