Clinton campaign makes digital outreach hire
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has hired political analyst Zerlina Maxwell to help its digital outreach efforts, according to BuzzFeed.
“Zerlina has been profiled in the New York Times as a top political Twitter voice to follow during the 2012 election season, and she was selected by Time magazine as one of the best Twitter feeds in 2014,” a Clinton aide told the website.
{mosads}Maxwell is a former writer for Essence magazine and often appears on television to discuss politics and culture. She will focus on cultural issues, including gender inequality, BuzzFeed reported.
Last year, she joined President Obama on Air Force One to fly to Selma, Ala., on the 50th anniversary of the civil rights march known as “Bloody Sunday.”
