Tanya Snyder, wife of controversial Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder, donated to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, a finding first reported by the Washington City Paper.

Federal Election Commission filings show that Snyder donated $534.86 to the billionaire business mogul’s campaign in September, well under the legal limit of $2,700 per election cycle.

Dan Snyder has been under fire for refusing to change his team’s name, which many claim to be offensive to Native Americans.

Trump has weighed in on the controversy, defending Snyder and saying that Native Americans actually like the name.

“I know Indians that are extremely proud of that name,” Trump said in October, just weeks after Tanya Snyder made the contribution. “They think it’s a positive.

“Honestly, I don’t think they should change the name, unless the owner wanted to.”
