Sunday shows preview: March madness in GOP race

A Republican Party in turmoil will be the main topic facing politicians and pundits Sunday, as the GOP tries to figure out how to handle its presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
 
This week, the last two Republican presidential nominees attacked the businessman, calling him a “fraud” who’s leading the country “into the abyss.”
 
{mosads}Mitt Romney, who has led the charge against Trump in recent days, will make two appearances Sunday, laying out his case for an alternative to the controversial billionaire.
 
Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus will also making the talk show rounds to address his splintering party.
 
On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders will talk about his chances in the presidential race, shortly before he faces off against front-runner Hillary Clinton in a Sunday night debate.
 
Here is the rest of the lineup for the day:

ABC’s “This Week”: John Kasich and Sanders, both struggling to gain traction in their primary races, make appeals to voters after the dust settles on a Saturday filled with primaries. Priebus will also speak amid speculation about the possibility of his party having a brokered convention.

CBS’ “Face the Nation”: Trump defends himself from a series of recent attacks, and faces questions about how he’ll unite a splintering Republican Party.
 
Ted Cruz will also an appearance to discuss his chances of challenging Trump for the nomination. And Priebus will face more questions about the chaos in his party.
 
CNN’s “State of the Union”: Sanders will make another appearance ahead of the Democratic debate on Sunday night. And Marco Rubio will discuss the results from Saturday and how he can make the jump from third place to the nomination this late in the game.
 
“Fox News Sunday”: Romney discusses the state of the Republican party after his attacks on its front-runner.
 
NBC’s “Meet the Press”: Romney talks more about his plans to disrupt Trump. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) discusses his views of the Republican race. And actor Kevin Spacey will discuss the newest season of “House of Cards.”
