Dozens of celebrities are banding together to oppose Donald Trump as part of the progressive group MoveOn’s latest campaign.

A-list names who will campaign against Trump as part of the “Unite Against Hate” effort include director Shonda Rhimes, actors Mark Ruffalo, Bryan Cranston and Neil Patrick Harris, and actresses Kerry Washington, Olivia Wilde, Julianne Moore, Lena Dunham, Patricia Arquette and Jane Fonda.

The group of more than 100 celebrities will “use the power of our voice and the power of our vote to defeat Donald Trump and the hateful ideology he represents,” according to a letter acquired by Mic.

{mosads}”When dangerous and divisive leaders have come to power in the past, it has been in part because those of goodwill failed to speak out for themselves or their fellow citizens,” the letter reads. “Some of us come from the groups Trump has attacked. Some of us don’t. But as history has shown, it’s often only a matter of time before the ‘other’ becomes me.”

A YouTube celebrity who joined the initiative, Laci Green, told Mic that the Republican presidential nominee appeals to the “darkest tendencies of Americans.”

“American progressives must step up right now. Defeating Trump is not a matter of getting the word out that he’s basically Voldemort. To defeat Trump, we need to get people, and especially young progressives, to actually vote in spite of frustrations with Clinton,” she said.

Alongside the celebrities is Tony Schwartz, a former ghostwriter for Donald Trump, who has recently come out against the GOP nominee.

“I put lipstick on a pig,” said Schwartz in an interview with The New Yorker. “I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is.”

“I genuinely believe that if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization,” Schwartz added.
