Walker super-PAC’s first ad touts union fight

The super-PAC supporting Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) is out with its first paid television ad, highlighting his fight with his state’s public sector unions.

The 60-second video from Unintimidated PAC shows images of protesters storming the Wisconsin capitol in 2011.

“Our big, bold reforms here in Wisconsin took the power out of the hands of the big government special interest and put them firmly into the hands of the hard-working taxpayers,” Walker, a 2016 contender for the White House, says in the video.

Unintimidated PAC is setting aside $7 million for television spots in Iowa ahead of the Feb. 1 caucus.

The group has also reserved $9 million for advertising in the early-voting states of New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada.

As governor, Walker signed legislation that weakened rights for public sector unions in a high-profile fight in a state that was a labor stronghold. He also beat back efforts to recall him from office.
