Medal of Honor winners back Bush in new ad

Former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) is highlighting the support of Medal of Honor recipients in a new TV ad that touts his national security chops.

The ad, titled “Honor,” features the medal recipients talking about their combat experience and explaining why Bush would be a better commander in chief than President Obama.

{mosads}“This is no reality show. This is serious business. This commander in chief requires training wheels,” Maj. Gen. James Livingston, U.S. Marine Corps. Ret., says in the ad of Obama.

“Jeb Bush has the experience and leadership skills. He represents the beliefs of this country. You’ll have the American people’s confidence, and he will be respected on the world stage,” he continues.

The TV and cable buys will run for three weeks in New Hampshire and Boston starting Wednesday and cost about $600,000. The cable buys will run on Fox News.

National security is coming to the forefront of the 2016 election following the recent terror attacks in Paris, with GOP hopefuls showcasing their foreign policy and vowing to stop terrorism.

Bush recently spoke at The Citadel, a military academy in South Carolina, where he vowed to bolster the military and take to take a tougher stand against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Bush is currently in fifth place nationally with 5.3 percent, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.
