Clinton campaign: Our lead is ‘almost insurmountable’
A spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign on Thursday taunted the rival Sanders campaign in a tweet, calling Clinton’s lead in pledged delegates “almost insurmountable.”

Clinton’s team has used similar language before to describe Clinton’s lead over Sanders. Last week, campaign manager Robby Mook said in a conference call with reporters: “We are nearing the point where our delegate lead will effectively become insurmountable.”
Sanders currently trails Clinton in pledged delegates 851 to 1,606.
