Clinton wins Delaware

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is projected to win the Delaware primary.
 
Clinton will take the majority of the state’s 21 pledged delegates, inching her closer to the 2,383 delegates she needs to win the Democratic nomination.
 
{mosads}She entered the day with 1,428 pledged delegates, to Bernie Sanders’s 1,153.
 
In addition to Delaware, voters are also casting ballots in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island on Tuesday. Clinton favored to take a majority of the delegates up for grabs on the day.
 
Delaware’s was a closed primary. Sanders has struggled in states where independents cannot vote in the Democratic contest.
