Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Saturday he has done more “to protect unborn life” than any other candidate in the crowded Republican presidential field.
“No candidate has done more to protect unborn life,” Perry said at the Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington, according to USA Today.
{mosads}Perry used the speech to attack President Obama, saying his “weakness at home has led to weakness abroad.”
“We are a resilient country — we will make it through the Obama years,” Perry said.
Perry announced his candidacy for president earlier this month.
He drew attention Friday for referring to the mass shooting at a historic black church in Charleston, S.C., as “an accident.”
