Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) on Tuesday dismissed Donald Trump’s jabs, insisting his opposition to the Republican presidential front-runner is “not personal.”
“No, not at all,” Walker said during an interview on “Fox and Friends,” before saying it was personal “in a sense” because of his intention to leave a better country for his children.
{mosads}“It’s not personal in terms of candidates. I could care less about what any of the other candidates say,” Walker added.
Walker has endorsed and campaigned for Trump’s GOP rival, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, ahead of Wisconsin’s primary on Tuesday.
Trump bashed Walker after he endorsed Cruz, saying the governor is “not doing a great job” and that he “beat him very badly.”
“I knocked him out of the presidency in about two minutes,” Trump said during a Fox News town hall on Sunday.
“You know how quickly he got out?” Trump asked during a rally in Wisconsin on Monday. “I hit him too hard.”
