Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says he will keep Connecticut from losing any more jobs, just days before the state holds its GOP primary.
“Will be spending the day campaigning in Connecticut, another state where jobs are being stolen by other countries. I will stop this fast!” he tweeted Saturday morning.
{mosads}Trump has two campaign rallies scheduled Saturday in Connecticut — one in Waterbury and the other in Bridgeport.
Trump has a huge edge in the state in polling. He leads by 22 points, according to a
RealClearPolitics average.
Connecticut lost 119,100 seasonally adjusted total nonfarm jobs during the economic recession from 2008 to 2010, and has since recovered 77 percent of them, according to the
state’s Department of Labor.
