Cruz accidentally hits wife in the head after dropping out

Ted Cruz added injury to insult Tuesday night, accidentally striking his wife in the head after telling supporters he was suspending his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination.

Concluding his speech following a devastating loss to Donald Trump in the Indiana primary, Cruz turned to hug wife, Heidi Cruz.

After pulling away and reaching for his father, Rafael Cruz, the Texas senator inadvertently elbowed Heidi, causing her to flinch in pain.
