Trump wins five states, earns needed bound delegates

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is projected to win primaries in New Jersey, South Dakota, Montana, New Mexico and California.
 
Trump was declared the victor shortly after the polls closed in each state. And both ABC and Fox News noted that with his Tuesday victories, he had earned enough deleates to clinch his party’s nomination.
 {mosads}New Jersey offers 51 delegates, Montana offers 27 and South Dakota offers 29. All three are winner-take-all states for the GOP.
 
New Mexico’s 24 delegates are given proportionally. California has 172 delegates, with some awarded statewide and others at the congressional district level.
 
The billionaire had already secured more than the 1,237 delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination prior to Tuesday’s elections.
  
After Tuesday, all voting will be done in the GOP presidential primary.
