NRCC targets Democrats on votes against Ryan budget

{mosads}The committee is spending $40,000 on the ads, three of which will run on television in the districts of Reps. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.), Mike McIntyre (D-N.C.), Nick Rahall (D-W.Va.) and Ron Barber (D-Ariz.).

The ad running against Peterson charges that he’s “been in Washington for too long, and we’re paying the price.”

It says that “instead of voting to balance the budget, he voted to spend $1.8 trillion on ObamaCare.” Peterson, along with the other targeted Dems — and every other Democrat in the House — opposed the Ryan budget, which would have balanced the budget in 10 years by repealing President Obama’s healthcare reform law and instituting $4.6 trillion in spending cuts.

The NRCC is running a similar ad against McIntyre, Rahall and Barber, while Reps. Jim Matheson (D-Utah), Bill Owens (D-N.Y.) and Patrick Murphy (D-Fla.) are all targeted by online ads.

All are top targets for Republicans in 2014, as all but Owens represent districts GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney won in 2012.
