Ron Paul endorses Ralph Hall

Former Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) has endorsed Rep. Ralph Hall (R-Texas), giving him a boost as he heads into the final stretch of a tough primary battle.

{mosads}”Ralph Hall has served his constituents honorably in Congress and I consider him a friend. I am proud to endorse his reelection to Congress from the great state of Texas,” Paul said in a statement released by Hall’s campaign.

Paul, who served alongside Hall in the Texas delegation for decades, could help boost Hall with libertarian-leaning Republicans in the district and undercut arguments from Hall’s opponent, former U.S. Attorney John Ratcliffe (R), that Hall isn’t conservative enough on economic issues.

Hall, who at age 91 is Congress’s oldest member, has had a lot help from other members of the Texas congressional delegation in the race since Ratcliffe forced him into a runoff. But Ratcliffe has the support of the Club for Growth and Senate Conservatives Fund.
