House Republicans launch ads in 9 districts

The National Republican Congressional Committee is launching a new wave of ads in nine districts, targeting seven Democratic incumbents and a pair of GOP-held seats.

{mosads}The ads go after Democratic Reps. Ron Barber (Ariz.), John Barrow (Ga.), William Enyart (Ill.), Collin Peterson (Minn.), Rick Nolan (Minn.), Tim Bishop (N.Y.) and Nick Rahall (W.Va.). Two other spots attack Gwen Graham (D), who’s running against Rep. Steve Southerland (R-Fla.), and former Iowa state Sen. Staci Appel (D), who’s running for retiring Rep. Tom Latham’s (R-Iowa) seat.

The ads largely focus on tying red-district Democrats to President Obama, attacking Graham for ObamaCare and accusing Barber, Rahall and Barrow of kowtowing to the president. Nolan is “dangerously liberal,” Peterson “has changed,” Appel is “wasteful,” Enyart is a stooge of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), and Bishop is “one of Congress’s most corrupt” in the ads.
