Race for Cassidy seat goes to runoff
The race to replace Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) in the House will go to a runoff on Dec. 6 after 12 candidates split the vote Tuesday night.
Former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards (D) and Republican Garret Graves will ultimately vie for the seat. Edwards is back in politics after a federal corruption conviction.
Cassidy is challenging Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.). The two will compete in a runoff after each failed to capture 50 percent of the vote.
